I have been to Club Land'Or many times and just love the place. As for time shares, as the one person said, there are fees everywhere. I find the fees are minimal when you can have 4,5, 6 people in a unit. Sure couldn't do that for the price at a hotel or motel. The taxes in the Bahamas are high, no doubt about that, but still worth the price.
