We were there during Memorial Day for almost 2 weeks. The resort is still well maintained. If you have a problem, call the front desk and they will take care of it. The pool area is a lot of fun, slides, lazy river, live music, games, etc. The rules people are referring to are simply ones limiting the number of day guests (so as not to crowd the guests at the pool) and not bringing a cooler into the pool area (we leave ours in the car). It is definitely a family resort. Our kids, age 9 and 2, had a great time. The beach is not close to the main building, but the walk is not difficult. When we had a lot of "stuff" to bring down, we just parked our car near the oceanside building.
