my understanding is that you have to buy at least some of your points from the developer to qualify for VIP status. I've read several threads regarding VIP status and I get the feeling that the perks are not worth the extra expense. Go to the TUG Forum (www.tugbbs.com/forums). There's a site dedicated to Wyndham; you can probably get more information there.
