The payment of $5,000 for a family cruise is not a good monetary investment because at the end of the cruise one has nothing but pleasant memories. A timeshare purchase should be viewed in the same light. [/Q] [b]At least with a cruise, you're NOT responsible for paying yearly maintenance fees and possible special assessments until you die and even afterwards (your estate is then responsible).[/b]
