This is a real sore spot with most people, and I think that Marriott should take an active role in controlling these fees. For instance, most Hawaii properties have MF of about $1400 to $1600 annually. How could any other property cost more? Hawaii has one of the highest cost-of-living indexes in the country - which includes labor, repairs, furnishings, etc.
