I spent awhile speaking to a Marriott advisor and this is what I've learned. The concept is great but I just wonder how it will play out. The points are only good at Marriotts with unsold villas or if a Marriott owner deposits their week as points. For example, if St Kitts has zero unsold inventory or an owner at St Kitts deposits their week as a week through interval then your points won't work here. The only benefit of points in a case like this is you're on the point list and interval list but there's no guarantee you'll get in. A lot of upfront money. I've spoken to 3 Marriott people and each time I've learned so much more. keep calling and find out the pros and cons.
