I have been a long time supporter of Marriott timeshares. I own 5 weeks (all purchased directly through Marriott), and I have referred over 20 friends and family who have purchased over the years. I have tried to weigh the positives and negatives of this new program, but my only conclusion is that Marriott has purposely sold out its loyal customer base. The program is totally flawed (for all the reasons indicated many times by others on this forum). I WILL NEVER AGAIN RECOMMEND A MARRIOTT TIMESHARE PURCHASE TO OTHERS. I WILL NEVER AGAIN BUY A MARRIOTT TIMESHARE FROM MARRIOTT. Someday, this new program will be written up in business textbooks as one of the all time worst decisions ever made by a successful company.
