Can't we just "give it back"?[/Q] No, if you signed a legal contract to buy a timeshare in Mexico then you are legally responsible for all future fees including maintenance fees. The vast majority of resorts do not take deeds back in the USA. I've never heard of any in Mexico that take deeds back.
