This is there way to get more money and it is illegal not to disclose this to a buyer.[/Q] A management company has no right to tell you such hogwash .... it's your week, you own it, you can do with it what you wish, use whatever closing company you choose and if they say otherwise it's a lie. This looks like a way to merely separate you from your money and the attorney must be in on it. There are fees charged with some resorts when ownership changes but nothing like $1500. Go to the above closing companies that I posted and ask them about this issue via email.
