Yes, that risk is always there, but in my nearly 15 years of timesharing I have not experienced any special assessment except one the second year year of ownership. [Q=markg510] While the assessment for points owners is lower than the deeded week owners - averaged across multiple resorts - there is also the risk of any other special assessments for other properties in the collection being assessed to the points owners.[/Q]
