The best thing we ever did was to buy fee simple on the secondary market and NEVER bought points. This way we use our ocean front timeshare every year and we retain equal rights to other deeded owners. The points people are sent to another pool of owners, who DRI places within a group of resorts collection. Good luck if you bought at the preferred resort and are trying to get back into it. Fee simple owners without points ALWAYS get to stay their home resort for the annual maintenance fee and no additional costs.
