First, Diamond Resorts International (DRI) went public which said to me that they no longer were going to see after the best interest of their owners rather that of their shareholders. Then I saw this beach erosion coming; higher & higher outrageous maintenance fees; unnecessary movement of buildings & equipment and other issues on the horizon. I had 3 contracts; one for 46,000 points and two for 3,500 points. I could not get rid of what I had for the $300 per contract. I relinquished my points back to Diamond Resorts International (DRI). [Q=timn122] I am also a deeded owner from 2000 and am very concerned about the potential for special assessments or a drastic increase in maintenance fees, due to the beach eroision. Am considering selling, at a reduced cost, because of this. Would appreciate hearing from other owners in similar situations. Diamond keeps trying to get me to convert from weeks to points, but I don't plan on doing so.[/Q]
