[Q=stuartg56]...but then they asked me to pay a very large amount on a credit card.[/Q] I don't know how many times this needs to be said but never, ever pay anyone a large, upfront fee to sell, rent out, market, or "cancel" your timeshare. That is always a scam. If they are legitimate, they will take their commission out of the proceeds of the sale or rental and not upfront.
