Re: A little question about Wyndham Smokey Mountains

Just remember that if you decide to purchase whether points or weeks you will be obligated to pay maintenance fees and assessments for the rest of your life or until you can find a way to get it out of your name , If something in your life changes down the road and you can no longer afford the fees you are still obligated to pay them . Now if you like those terms then remember that if you call the resort and you can't seem to get any days or weeks that you want you still have to pay your fees . No matter what happens down the road you are obligated to pay your fees . Some people would say that these contracts appear to be one sided . Then ask yourself why the developer sells these products at sleazy timeshare presentations that claim your offer is only good right then and there . Why wouldn't they want you to take the paperwork home and read what you are committing yourself to before you obligate yourself for the rest of your life to a one sided contract . If this product was sold on the open market they would go out of business very quickly . I can't advise you what to do but at least by renting you might pay a little more or you might be surprised that it may be cheaper to rent . I have a feeling that you might get a few responses to your post . Decide wisely .
