Well, buying a condo for occasional vacation use has it's own problems. You certainly can use it when you want but what about the rest of the year? Be careful and do your homework. My suggestion - don't buy anything, just rent a timeshare from an owner. [Q=michael3092] There is a difference in owning a condo for use an entire year than paying $1,500 to $1,900 maintenance for a one week use of a timeshare, Let’s use a condo with an association fee of $5,000 annually, 5,000 taxes and $5,000 more for utilities and other costs. That’s $15.000 or 52 weeks or $288.00 per week. With your own condo you are not on a waiting list to use it and even that mandatory 10-13 months needed in advance.[/Q]
