Just be glad that you got out of there before he suckered you into a purchase. Yes, many people have had experiences such as yours. True, resale buyers at times do not have the same benefits as retail buyers, but whatever perks and benefits you get by buying retail, they are not worth the tens of thousands of dollars you have to pay for them. BTW, timeshare salespeople are notorious for telling lies, half-truths, and exaggerated facts and figures.
