Re: WALK AWAY FROM TIMESHARE (by Layna K):
I applied for Transitions with Diamond Resorts. I don't have any loan balance. I pay my maintenance fees monthly through SurePay. I was denied eligibility to exit saying that I had to pay 2020's maintenance fees in full to qualify. Transitions text says "You must be current on the payment of all maintenance fees UP TO THE YEAR FOR WHICH YOU ARE RELINQUISHING" -- That does NOT say 'through the end of the year.' My first effort to apply for Transitions, they tried to say I was 'past due' (not true since I have had SurePay withdrawing on the 1st of every month). Now, DR says year's worth of fees must be paid in advance to apply for the Transitions exit. Any suggestions? Ready to walk away. Several instances of misleading/lying/pressuring I've dealt with that seem violations of legal business practices. I just kept hoping for something better. I have a legitimate request to exit.
