I just called the front desk at the facility and they said that only registred guests can use the pool and BBQ area. Moreover, Westin has security that patrol the facility; although as the BBQs are first come, first serve there is no way they can prevent non guests from trying to use the bbq areas.

Also, it is against Westin's policy to allow even guests to bring their own alchohol into the pool area (i.e. you can't bring down a 6 pack or keg and have at it); however, you can order alchohol from the bar on the pool deck.

I would encourage anyone who is interested to call in to the Westin as I would be curious if you receive the same answer I did.
