I got less than a whopping $200 from the settlement, lost thousands more than that. And I was luckier than most. Sal somebody or other, who was with the AG's office, dispersed funds due to owners from the AG investigation settlement through the Better Business Bureau. As we all know Eichner et al, are still in action and ripping people off.
Seems that the law and justice is not on the side of the Manhattan Club owner.
Also, it is my understanding that even if you sign the give back papers that state you cannot pursue any other legal action, I would check into that. Don't think that is accurate or necessarily true.
Irene: I have been doing a review of the blog from page 1, starting around September of 2011. I am currently on page 129, It is a slow process, and getting anything concrete is a bit fuzzy, but I count three legal actions, one at the start of the blog by a firm of Blau, Brown & Leonard, LLC, which was filed and failed around December of 2012. Then it appears one of the partners, Blau, pick it up and talked about having around 200 owners on board, but the judge in 2013 wouldn't hear the suit. Then there is a 3rd mentioned, Bisk vs MC, (May of 2014) but I haven't found any conclusion to that yet. By that time the NYAG investigation had come into play. I doubt that it was successful as there doesn't seem to be any further mention of it, as least as far as I have gone.
