Re: Re: (Vacation limitless) First company who actually helps me get rid of my timeshare (by KC):
I don't really understand what you mean by "break a deal". If you are referring to cancelling a timeshare contract, U.S. state (and Mexican) laws provide a specific, limited time period to rescind (cancel) a contract. That time period is between 3 and 10 days, usually 5-7 days, depending on the individual state (the cancellation period is 5 days in Mexico). Failure to rescind (cancel) a contract within the allotted time period means that you are too late to cancel and you then become legally bound to all of the terms of the contact that you voluntarily signed of your own free will.
To learn more about timeshares, I suggest spending a lot of time carefully reading through the voluminous and detailed material found on the Timeshare Users Group web site. Don't ever buy any timeshare without FIRST acquiring solid background knowledge and extensive understanding of exactly what you are getting yourself into. Timeshares can be great and we have certainly enjoyed ours over many the years and we continue to do so, but timeshares can also be a huge and very expensive mistake (particularly if bought directly from developer at obscenely inflated pricing instead of purchasing in the "resale" market). Never buy any timeshare at any price without having solid knowledge and a full understanding of the "product" and all of its' associated costs, conditions of use and projected future resale value (which, in many instances, is literally ZERO).
Caveat Emptor (Buyer Beware).
