You haven't really provided enough information for a well informed and fully accurate answer, since the answer depends in large measure upon the STATE in which EACH of the respective timeshares is located.

There are numerous closing companies around, some more competent and more efficient than others, all charging approximatelyy the same amount of money (generally in the $250 --$400 range). I have my own strong opinions on several of them, based upon personal knowledge and experience, but I won't name any names here, since I do NOT want to appear to be either "marketing" or "bashing" ANY of them. The main point I want to make is that, competent or not, some closing companies will not handle transactions in certain states AT ALL, for a variety of different reasons including "property transfer tax" requirements (as, specifically, apply in Vermont timeshare sales) and assorted other issues in other states. Some states specifically require attorney involvement (e.g., South Carolina), but most good closing companies have some working association with an attorney anyhow, to use when required.

In some states, you could actually get it all done between yourselves without using a closing company or attorney at all, merely by "templating" the current deeds yourselves (absolutely correctly), changing the ownership names as appropriate for the new deeds, having the new deeds properly notarized, and then ensuring that BOTH new deeds get properly recorded with the county or town (this also depends on the particular state(s). I'm certainly NOT recommending that you do this alone, between yourselves. I'm merely noting that it's POSSIBLE to accomplish in SOME states.

In short, since you haven't identified any states for either timeshare, there is simply not enough info provided to give you a complete answer. Hopefully, this above reply is of some informative use or help to you anyhow.
