I'm having so much trouble renting my place in Maui. It's in the brand new Westin, we're asking half-price compared to the official rate and it's for the Thanksgiving week.

I've posted it here but I've hardly had any interest. Is there a secret that I don't know about?

Edit: didn't see the post above; i'll check out that link.

============= You didn’t say how long you’ve had it listed or when you reduced the price. Many people plan holiday vacations several months in advance. If it’s a fairly new listing, people may have already made their travel plans. At this late date, airfare also becomes a factor. For example, airfare to Hawaii from the East Coast can easily approach $1000 per ticket during the holidays. I noticed in your ad you listed prices for the lock-off units, which are less expensive. You may want to consider editing your ad to list either the 1 bedroom or studio as the primary unit. You might have more opportunities to rent the smaller units. As a last resort, you may need to lower the price to an amount to cover your maintenance fees. Good Luck
