Re: Redweek Verified Issue for THIRD Time (by KC):

Historically, RedWeek has always confirmed the details of "verified" listings before allowing any ad to be reflected as "RedWeek Verified". That fact has been my consistent personal experience and observation with RedWeek over many years now, having placed "RedWeek Verified" rental listings myself numerous times during those years.

That being said, there are numerous ways in which any rental listing (including "RedWeek Verified" listings) can still get fouled up. For example, an owner could change (or cancel) a reservation after placing their RedWeek ad and RedWeek would not know. Additionally, owners may get into account arrears on maintenance fees and / or special assessments at their resort, in which case their resort will not allow occupancy by the owner (or by an owner's prospective tenant) until the account is brought current; this too could occur after a "verified" listing has been placed. Also, an owner could decide to "deposit" their week with II or RCI for an "exchange", even after placing their RedWeek ad --- and RedWeek would not know. The owner may not realize that once a week is "deposited" with RCI or II, that deposited week cannot be retrieved back later from the exchange company in order to rent it out (or even for the owner to use it themselves in that year). There are surely various other ways that a "RedWeek verified" listing could "go south"; the examples cited above are just a few ways that come immediately to mind --- none of them RedWeek's fault.
