Putting a lien on the timeshare is a tactic or apparently the latest tactic. Liens don't eliminate the fact that many owners apparently have wanted to surrender their timeshare and apparently many decided not to pay maintenance fees. TMC seems to be mainly - perhaps merely - putting names on a "long" list of those who want to surrender the timeshare.

I assume TMC management also views these public comments, at least periodically, to keep adjusting tactics with timeshare owners who want to deed back their timeshare, even for free or a token amount if offered.
