Were you traumatized by one of these companies? It just seems to me that only ignorant people with little to no intelligence would generalize that ALL companies that charge upfront have to be scams. There are some quality companies that charge a fee upfront for selling timeshare. I sold one of my weeks with them and its a shame this particular company doesn't rent, because i would go with them and have it done already. So please try to have some class when refering to these companies and don't generalize. Your hurting people who want to sell their property and think that all companies are scams.tom, you're 100% correct that I have an ISSUE with all upfront fee resale companies ..... they are ALL TOTAL SCAMS.
If YOU want to sell someone's timeshare, then take your fee after the sale and not before when you've done absolutely NOTHING to sell that timeshare but take someone's hard earned money (in the hundreds of dollars), told them an unrealistic high price that YOU (among other lies) can get for their timeshare getting their hopes up. YOU take advantage of the weak and vulnerable timehare owner that is not timeshare educated to your scams.
Upfront fee resale scam companies are my NUMBER ONE axe to grind concerning timesharing. There are other injustices in the industry, but these scams are NUMERO UNO for me !
Just read all the testimonials here on Redweek where people have been taken by these parasites. I'm certainly glad the word is getting around and I will do everything in my power to see that it continues to do so.
If I had the money I would buy an entire page in USA today to voice my opinion on UPFRONT FEE RESALE COMPANY scams. Hopefully one day someone that's been taken with such a parasite company and has the money will do so.
