In my personal opinion, NO renter should EVER agree to pay for a rental via Paypal, since PayPal offers absolutely NO protection whatsoever to the person parting with their money in a non-tangibles transaction (and a rental IS just such a "non-tangibles" transaction). PayPal provides immediate funds to the recipient, but it provides NOTHING to the person actually parting with their money --- except an immediate "goodbye" to that money.

I'm not stating, suggesting or in any way implying that PayPal recipients are necessarily dishonest. I am merely pointing out that paying for a rental via PayPal provides absolutely no protection at all to the person doing the paying...
