Re: Timeshare Market Pro (by R P.):

Ken knew exactly what he wanted when he bought his weeks of timeshare. He bought (some) of his weeks in heavily desired southwest Florida during snowbird season (very high demand, low supply) and during a blackout period for traders into that area.

Know exactly what (and why) you want is key before even considering purchasing a timeshare no matter how many lies you may have been told by a heavyhanded developer salesperson such as, "you can trade into any resort in the RCI or II wishbooks anytime if you buy this week". This is merely one lie a salesperson will tell a prospective buyer as power of your week and supply and demand rule all successful exchanges.

Exchanging is merely a sidedish of timesharing and even then, one needs to be flexible in exchange times, resorts and locations they would like to exchange into ..... a fixed regimen of resorts/times will definitely disappoint unless you own a very desirable week in a very desirable resort and location (again supply and demand rule).

My opinion is to buy where you would like to go every year with the possibly of exchanging some years, being flexible in doing so and depositing your week far in advance to get better locations, times and resorts.
