Re: Purchasing thru Redweek or other resale companies (by Steven B.):

Forgive me if I need a late pass but just wanted to share my experience. I bought a Timeshare with my then girlfriend and now wife back in 2003. It was at the Mystic Dunes (formerly the Whyndam Palms) in Kissimmee, FL.

We have stayed there but have also exchanged for other places such as Puerto Rico, LA, and San Diego. I think it costs us $100 to exchange and the process was pretty painless.

I just joined this site yesterday and actually have my Timeshare up for sale. We absolutely love it but we have our first kid on the way and really need to cut expenses so we can buy a house.

When I first bought the thing it was every other year and it cost $9,900. When we came back the next year I guess it had gone up to something like $25,000 but we were able to upgrade to annual for only another $9,990.

Trust me if I had known about a site like this I would have bought through it for sure.

Good luck and let me know if you want to buy mine!! Ha!

Think of baby Marisol!!
