It was at the Mystic Dunes (formerly the Whyndam Palms) in Kissimmee, FL.We have stayed there but have also exchanged for other places such as Puerto Rico, LA, and San Diego. I think it costs us $100 to exchange and the process was pretty painless.
I just joined this site yesterday and actually have my Timeshare up for sale. We absolutely love it but we have our first kid on the way and really need to cut expenses so we can buy a house.
When I first bought the thing it was every other year and it cost $9,900. When we came back the next year I guess it had gone up to something like $25,000 but we were able to upgrade to annual for only another $9,990.
Trust me if I had known about a site like this I would have bought through it for sure.
Good luck and let me know if you want to buy mine!! Ha!
Think of baby Marisol!!
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you will not get anywhere near on the resale what you paid the developer, and if you financed it through the resort and still owe money on it, you won't have any luck reselling it as nobody wants to take on someone else's debt.
Also, even though Mystic Dunes is a very nice resort, Orlando and the surrounding area is over populated with all types of accomodations including many other timeshare resorts.
The best thing you can do is you, your wife and Marisol enjoy your resort and not beat yourself up for buying developer. Think how much Marisol will enjoy the resort and all the parks in years to come.
