What has more trade power? (by Tom S.):

I have been told the same thing by Marriott and Wyndham sales persons, but I have found the opposite to be true in practice. Maybe if you happen to get lucky, however, I have had to trade my 3 bedroom in Orlando Grande Vista for a two bedroom at the same resort for a different time. Aruba is avoided by so many Americans since the cover-up death, that it might be easier there, but I have had no luck with Hawaii Hawaii or St Kitts.

We wanted to know if anyone has an opinion as to which of the following Marriott Vacation Club locations have more trading power through Interval International: Aruba Ocean Club Aruba Surf Club Maui Ocean Club Ko' Olina Hawaii (Oahu) Kauai Beach Club Waiohai Beach Club Kauai

Please keep in mind these are all Marriott properties we are referring to. Also we've been told that even purchasing a 1-bedroom unit at some of these locations can often yield a 2-bedroom unit when trading to a different location. Does anyone know which locations have that type of trading power? If anyone has any experience to share regarding the above we would appreciate it.

Thanks!
