Hey thanks for notifying us as to why all Belaire threads have been closed on Tug upon request of Belaire lawyers.
I'm surprised Tug complied with that request. Tug is a discussion site related to all facets of timesharing. Tug's owner doesn't necessarily agree with all posts made by the membership, just as Redweek's owner does not, but he allows those posts as a matter of free speech.
There have been numerous Tug threads maligning certain resorts/developers over the years .... some by a Tug moderator himself who refers to Westgate as Wastegate and he has been allowed to refer to that deveopment in that context so many times I've lost count.
Many satisfied Westgate owners have been turned off by the continuous bashing, especially from a moderator. I'm surprised a satisfied Westgate owner hasn't forwarded all those bashing posts to Westgate's CEO, hence a lawsuit could very well develop.
If Tug feels threatened by lawsuits then they need to advise all members not to bash any resort for any reason because it can come back to haunt Tug, it would seem, according to the request of Belaire lawyers to close all Belaire threads, that was obliged by Tug.
