Basically the resort is selling your unit back to you in the form of Points. If you really want to get into a Points system, it would probably be cheaper to just buy another TS. Seeing you'd be lookign to get rid of your unit, any new owner would most likely have to "reconvert" to points anyway. As for fewer "weeks" resorts in the future. It may be true, but, IMHO, as long as resorts are charging thousands of dollars to convert, there will be plenty of owners NOT converting and keeping their TS in the weeks system.
