Jay Jay, how do we go about suing these people or atleast getting them shut down so that they can stop making money off of unsuspecting people who want nothing more than someone to help them out of a unit they no longer want??

The problem is, unless and until enough people, who've been taken in by these upfront fee parasites, band together in great numbers to expose their scams then there's really not much you can do. Upfront fee companies are not licensed real estate agents, if they were they couldn't take your upfront fee. What they call themselves are timeshare marketing services and the upfront fees you pay are for socalled marketing your timeshare that they put in a computer database that no one ever sees.

I think there needs to be federal regulation, but I don't know if that will will ever happen. That's one reason why I, and many other regular posters, come here .... we try to educate the public on scams such as upfront fee companies.

They prey on the weak and desperate. ALL THEY WANT is your upfront fee, period. I personally would love to see their scams exposed on a tv show such as 20/20 or some other investigate journalism tv show. We need someone with the POWER that reads this forum to get that ball rolling.
