Close down that credit card and apply for a new one. That way they can't rob any more money from that account. Also, I would dispute the charge with the credit card company.
Your situation is very important because it stresses the need to read all contracts backwards and forwards and inside and out before committing.
What they told you verbally and what is written in the contract may be two completely different things. It's what's in the written contract that counts in a court of law, not all the lies told you over the phone.
