Re: Omega Marketing Solutions any one had dealings with them? (by Sharon A.):
I cannot believe all that I am reading! Just before I saw this site I e-mailed Omega Marketing asking them if it's true they will be closing. I was contacted by another company today and when I told them Omega was selling my Bluegreen points, they said the state of Florida was shutting them down and they could recoup the money I had sent Omega. I did not believe the I Care Marketing. My story is similar to many of yours. Over a year ago my husband went on the internet to see how to sell our Bluegreen. The only company they recommend is Pinnacle....I think Bluegreen owns them! They resell for pennies on the dollar. Anyway, Brendan O'Neal called us, as did a few other companies. My husband said with a good Irish name like O'Neal, he would be the one we'd select. However, we could not get back to him because the phone # he left was incorrect. So, we went with a company that asked for $999 for a title search. We said we'd send it in three installments. A couple of weeks after we sent it, the company disappeared. I even called the police in Davies, Florida. They said we were one of the lucky ones that only lost a couple hundred dollars. A month after that my husband passed away. Low and behold who calls after that....Brendan ONeal! I told him the story and how my husband wanted to go with him because he would be an honest good Irish lad. He said he felt bad and would only charge us $698 or something like that. I did keep in contact with them. However, awhile ago I called and asked for Brendan and was informed he no longer works for Omega. Is he in jail or worse? Anyway, I need help. Jill, I thank you for taking the bull by the horns. I believe the whole timeshare industry needs to be investigated. I'm just sick about this. I'm in a real financial mess. I cannot keep paying these maintenance fees to Bluegreen and I can no longer use the points. I hope we can somehow get our money back, and figure out how to get rid of these timeshares. Sincerely, Unhappy
