No, this is not a valid reason to buy another timeshare. The only reason to buy another timeshare would be because you wnat to spend many years of vacation at that spot. If you do buy another one for that reason, I would suggest you buy it resale. You will save anywhere between 40% - 60% than buying from the developer.

The money that you will put out for your third timeshare will cost more than any airfare tickets you get. The rent you may or may not get, will cost you for advertising it even though it may not be much. However, with the economy as it is now your competitors who will also will be trying to rent theirs particularly the ones trying to get out of their timeshares. They will rent their timeshare out well below the maintenance fees to get something as opposed to nothing. The value of your timeshare is worth more than airfare. It is not a good trade. Your maintenance fees will be more than the airfare, thus you will lose value.

This is NOT a good argument to buy another timeshare. Save your money. If you must buy then buy resale.
