Re: Holiday_Resales (by Teresa B.):

I sure do regret not doing my homework related to Holiday Inn Club Vacations. After the high pressure sales pitch for a 3 night 4 day vacation package I should have just hung up on the sales person. Though I thought that by them dropping the deposit $50 to have me schedule the time in 45 days would have afforded me plenty of time to make my plans. Well, after numerous letters and phone calls, all pressuring me to schedule, schedule, schedule, I started trying to call. Unfortunately I have stayed on eternal hold for countless cell phone minutes, listened to their recordings to press this and press that, leave a message for someone to call you back. Yeah, they call you back a few days later, when you totally unprepared to speak with them and have to call them again. And the whole scenario repeats again....

I have talked to several people now, and have gotten different costs to upgrade to the resort every time, even though it is typed in my record how much the previous person quoted.

Needless to say...I have just given up my deposit by choosing not to schedule at Orange Lake Resort...if this is how I am treated just trying to schedule the vaction to go there, I can only imagine how poorly I would be treated if I were staying there. The forfeiture of my $150 today is painful, but now I can see clearly that it will be the only amount that will be ripped off from me. I have learned my lesson about pushy sales folks trying to sell me a vacation - HANG UP...QUICKLY.
