Re: Has anyone heard of ICare Timeshare Marketing Group Inc. (by Rebecca F.):
We learned about these scams the hard way with Premier Timeshare Solutions. We did end up getting our money back from them but it took 6 weeks of calling almost every day, filing police reports, complaints with the BBB, the FL dept. of ag. and consumer services, the Attorney General's office etc. Anyway< we had already given money to icaretimeshare before them> The difference is, Premier wasn't as good at covering up the illegal aspects of their contract. I think icare has found a loophole to continue scamming people. One thing they cannot do according to FL law is to tell you they have a buyer and require an upfront fee. If they do that, they are not just marketing your timeshare (which they can do) but are selling it (which they can't do because they are not a realtor). I called the FL dept. of agriculture and consumer services to find this out. Unfortunately, we were not told they had a buyer so I think we're just out our money. We signed up with them a year ago so don't think our credit card company can do anything about it unless I can prove it's a scam. We were told by premier timeshare solutions that they had a buyer so after we threatened to tape the conversation, we finally got our money back. Now I want to see if I can pursue icare but am not quite sure how.
