My concern is as the renter using paypal. Once they have my money, can't the owner change/cancel my reservation without my knowledge? Can't they do the same thing to several people for the same week? It seems like a scary proposition for the renter. Is there ANY protection, either from my credit card company, or is the fact that I would usee the CC on paypal limit my options? I have used escrow in the past and LOVE the coordination/legal comfort that happens. Paypal seems convenient for the owner, but very risky for the renter.
