If they ask for any kind of large upfront fee whether they call it a marketing fee, closing fee, advertising fee or any other kind of fee, then they're scams. Education about upfront fee resale scams is all over the internet and in this forum and other timeshare forums.

BTW, I bet the offer was outrageously high ?????
