If you have the time to burn and the firm resolve to say NO, you might find such a "tour" to be an entertaining and educational experience. If you really like the place, after you say NO and walk away from the "presentation", do your homework and study the resale market, where the price will inevitably be 95+% LESS than the numbers you heard from the hard sell, lying sales weasels.
Yes, you can get a tour at virtually any resort just by contacting the resort and asking. Just be aware of what you'll be in for if it's a resort with a hungry, on site sales team. If the facility is still under developer control, you may well be offered "free gifts" to take the "tour". Once you hear any mention of "free gifts", be on alert and know full well in advance that you are going to be pummeled by hungry, relentless, manipulative, high pressure sales weasels...
