If you go to one, don't be lured in by one of the resort's incentives to attend. Go on your own steam.

I went to 3 different resorts in the same area. I went up to the sales and asked if I could see a unit. The salespeople gladly helped. After the tour of a unit, I asked a few questions and got some helpful answers. I also specified at the start that I was not interested in buying at that time.

The salespeople still were helpful. They handed me their respective business cards and some folders with information. I was in and out at each one in about 15 minutes each.

The key though is to go in on your own free will and not be lured in by any of their incentives.
