There's no way to tell via the internet honest owners from dishonest owners. I would recommend talking to owners via telephone .... that way you can pretty much guage their honesty .... and LAST BUT NOT LEAST always have a rental contract signed by both the owner and the renter (you) stipulating the facts of the agreement .... you can 'search forums' for a sample rental agreement.
