I was able to get rid of two time shares by just calling the office and making arrangements to deed them back. I only had to pay the current taxes as long as I was up to date with my maintenance fees and assessments. They just charged me a very minimal fee to process the paperwork. I strongly advise anyone to contact their home resort and let them know that you are ridding yourself of the burden with or without their help. This way they will not worry about years of unpaid fees and legal expenses to end up with it back and I now have peace of mind that they are gone. I didn't have to pay any upfront fees and worry that they never transfered it out of my name. I have the recorded deeds and am free of any future obligations. Good luck to anyone else that wants to unburden themselves and beware of wolves in sheeps clothing. It's a jungle out there.
