My best suggestion to keep the peace would be for you and this couple to use and pay for alternate years. So they pay for and use the week the first year. Then you pay for and use the week the next year, then keep alternating.

Then, they can charge whomever they want when they have the week and you can charge (or not charge) whomever you want the following year/week.
