This is a timeshare forum, but I'll try to help you. Go to your county tax assessor's office and ask why your taxes are so high .... they'll give you a rundown .... if what the tax assessor tells you coincides with your current assessment then you'll have no other choice but to pay them .... I would save enough each month so that you would have enough to pay them when they come due.
