We think you are wise to consider a "resales." Never pay full price from a developer!

Orlando is another question! The Orlando market is overbuilt and supply exceeds demands. Trade into Orlando, but do not purchase in Orlando!

You are wise to consider Marriott, Hilton, Westin, Sheraton. Consider the premium branded timeshares. Purchase at least a two bedroom in the best season that is in your budget. Have the cash in the bank to pay; do NOT finance.

Do read the "for sale" (FISBO). There are really no "used" villas, because all villas are "used 52 weeks per year." As you mature, you will tire of the "mouse" and the ilk of Orlando.

Goto redweek.com and study the many options. You will soon gain some timeshare "savvy."

Purchase an Oceanfront or Mountain villa that will offer a true holiday for you and your wife (and perhaps friends and family.)
