I have spent hours checking on this. I called one of the resorts we own and asked how we could change our weeks into points. I was told that we would have to own a unit that is already a points unit, then we could convert our other weeks units into RCI points. The only catch with RCI points is that your points cannot be deposited to the rent pool to earn rental money to pay maintence fees. I'm convinced that PRL is the way to go. the advantage of using the Texas unit to qualify to convert all owned properties to points is that the maintenence fees are so low. At the unit I was asked to buy to qualify for RCI points fees were over $700.
