I have accepted the offer of the company through its agent to rent my timeshare in Hawaii. I am now reviewing the rental contract but before I sign I want to know more about the company. Do you have any business dealing with this company. What was your experience? What more should I do to investigate this company. I will contact BBB in Dover, NH and possibly the attorney general office. Today, is Friday and the agent just sent me the email attaching the rental agreement. I was in contact with him at mid day. The delay in sending me the agreement gives me second thought about proceeding.Tks ceferinoa
Personally, I wouldn't even think of doing business with any upfront fee resale company, even for renting my timeshare .... upfront fee resale companies are all scams.
You can just as easily rent your Hawaii timeshare here on Redweek, VRBO (Vacation Rentals by Owner), your local newspaper or other legitimate timeshare ad sites and then you keep ALL the proceeds.
As lance said, this scam company evidently called you out of the blue with this offer .... that should always present a red flag. Also, if you should sign a contract for them to rent your timeshare then you are beholding to them whether they rent it or not.
