I don't see why you would need an attorney to dump a timeshare. If you want to dump it, list it in RedWeek's Bargain Basement for $1 or free. You can also try Bidshares, My Resort Network, or E-bay.

Also, Timeshare Users Group (aka "TUG"; tugbbs.com) has a Bargain Deals section where you can list for free that you want to give your timeshare away. Just follow the directions at the top of that page.

But do not pay anyone a large, upfront fee to sell, rent out, market, or "cancel" your timeshare. Any company asking for a large fee upfront to do one of these things is a scam operation.
